Retirement of the Live United Bowl

Honoring a Decade of Community and Competition

After a decade of competition and community spirit, the Live United Bowl Committee has made the decision to retire the bowl game, leaving a legacy of cherished memories for participating athletes, universities, and community members alike.

Initiated by Jeff Roberson and Allen Brown, the Live United Bowl has showcased not only exceptional football talent but also a sense of unity and pride in our community, which we are so proud of.

Despite its popularity and impact, the Live United Bowl faced increasing financial challenges. Rising costs and declining sponsorships posed significant hurdles, impacting the ability to maintain the event's high standards and support the participation of universities, bands, cheer teams, and other vital components of the college experience.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. Your unwavering commitment and contributions have been instrumental in making every year of the bowl game a success, enriching the Texarkana community and beyond.

Throughout the last ten years, the Live United Bowl has embodied a steadfast commitment to community service. From supporting local charities to engaging the community, the bowl game has contributed thousands of dollars to the United Way of Great Texarkana.

Thank you for your support and for being a part of this chapter in Texarkana and Division II sports history.
